The Glory of God Has Returned
Sometimes it’s difficult to assimilate what God is doing in terms of redemptive history but make no mistake that he has been working since the beginning of time for its achievement. All four gospel writers attempt to make clear the work and purpose of Jesus in establishing a kingdom not built with human hands and effort. Jesus is going to take the throne of the cross, as King, and He is going to offer liberation to all people, for all of time, from the burden of the penalty and enslavement of sin. When the glory returns to the temple the Kingship of Jesus has been scripturally, politically, and geographically fulfilled. The Glory of God has returned to the temple and the Kingdom of God is established in our hearts as Jesus tabernacles among us and we commune with Him.
