“The Day Of The Lord”: Peter wraps up his second epistle...Christ’s Return. His Second Coming will be physical and personal (just like His Resurrection and Ascension). His Coming will be immediately preceded by both heavenly & earthly distress. Christ’s return will bring upon the world judgment that is sudden, unexpected and inescapable. An antichrist figure is to arise prior to the Second Coming; who will be decisively overthrown. The kingdom of God, God’s rule & reign, will be fully established at Christ’s Return.
