God is light. God is life. God is love. The nature of God determines the conditions of fellowship with Him. It seems so many Christians today are coming to the Bible for personal growth rather than trying to understand the character and nature of God. John has sought to define for us who God is: God is Spirit, God is Love, God is True, God is Light.
