TO LIVE THE GREAT COMMANDMENT | TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION
March 12, 2020
Dear Calvary Murrieta family,
We understand that concern about the COVID-19 Coronavirus has grown daily. As a church, we have heard from concerned members of our body and we are aware of government suggestions.
Fear surrounding the virus and its social and economic effects has become widespread. However, as a church, we are not given to fear but to trust in our God.
We are aware of the governor’s request to refrain from gatherings over 250 people. We don’t take this request lightly but have chosen to continue to hold our Sunday services this week and we hope you are able to attend. However, we will livestream all three services through our website for those needing to watch from home.
We highly recommend practicing hand washing and sanitizing commonly used surfaces. In addition, in order to protect our church’s elderly and immune-compromised members, we are asking that if you are ill, please stay home. We will also refrain from shaking hands for the time being.
As this situation has caused great concern we want to respond with faith and prayer. We will host a prayer meeting this Sunday after third service in the courtyard.
We will continue to care for the needs of our body but are ready to modify our normal practices to meet the situation.
Let’s take this opportunity together to be careful and prayerful and to support one another.
