“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

- Ways to give your kids a good holiday experience
- How to discover hope for your future
The Divorce Care program is a faith based ministry. It is a 13 week support group/workshop designed to help men and women cope with the difficulties and struggles brought on by divorce or marriage separation. A variety of specific topics are addressed through a weekly video series and group discussions. Some of the topics covered include: Dealing with anger, loneliness, depression, forgiveness, finances, and children. The program allows for these issues to be addressed with a Biblical, God-centered approach, and as a result we have seen the Lord provide comfort, healing and new perspective to many broken lives.
Regardless of what stage of divorce or separation, whether recent or long ago, this program is appropriate for all such situations. The support group setting also helps people to realize there are others going through the same or similar situation. All are encouraged to attend regardless of one’s level of faith or church attendance.
We also offer a children’s program called DC4K (Divorce Care for Kids) for children ages 5-12. In that, kids are also provided guidance through activities, games, crafts and videos, to help them cope with their struggles of divorce or separation. Also, our Teen program helps teenagers address the difficulties they experience specific to their age group.
Unless you have been there, it’s hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. Our facilitators have also experienced divorce, we know first-hand the difficulties you are going through. We will show you through divorce care and its biblical principles how to deal with the hurt caused by separation and divorce.
Divorce is a painful process for most people, no matter what the circumstances. Those experiencing a marriage break-up are often in great need of help and healing. That is why we have a Divorce Care Workshop at Calvary Murrieta.
We offer this workshop 2 times each year, and you are welcome to join us at any time. The cost is $30, which includes the cost of your workbook. DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) will also be provided for children 5 - 12 years old, the cost of their workbook is $15.00.
If you or someone you know is experiencing this unfortunate crisis, make sure they know about DivorceCare.

Comments from those who have attended the Divorce Recovery Workshop:
“Seriously, I was scared when I first attended Divorce Care. Was afraid to open up, but this group has been a blessing to me. The video’s inform you of what you are going through, what to expect and how to heal. The small groups are diversified, and hearing both sides from men and women is really eye opening. I would suggest to all that come in, that you stay with it and don’t give up! You have no idea what an impact this has had on me, especially for you to be recommended , highly by two churches. I thank God and all of you. God Bless and keep up the great work you are doing.” Jeff J.
“The thing that helped me most was hearing the experiences of other people who had also gone through divorce or separation. Every person was honest and vulnerable as they spoke about their own personal heartbreak. [This] made me realize that I was not alone. I know the people at Divorce Care cared about me and what I was going through. Every nugget that was shared on the video and in the support groups, God has been using to put the pieces of my heart back together again.” Debbie L.
“The people I met had the same deep wounds from divorce that I had, and we were able to connect and by the time the class finished we considered ourselves friends. The Monday night class was the highlight of each week for me, as I knew I would be given sound counsel from those who have gone before me through this valley. I knew I would walk away from each class filled with encouragement and compassion which would lead me to my Father's throne. No valley is so deep, that He is not deeper still.” Debra G.
